Why is Universal Health Care Good?

Many people don’t consider universal health care to be a good thing. Cancer patients in the United Kingdom and Canada, both countries with universal health coverage, are significantly more likely to die than cancer patients in the United States. Countries with universal health care have long waits for doctor visits, and many people die while waiting. Still, some people are thankful for single-payer health care, saying it’s a relief to not have to worry about medical bills when they get very sick.
