Why is Snot Green?

When you blow your nose the mucus, or snot, that is in the tissue is usually clear. But occasionally it will be a bright green or yellow color. Snot is most often green, or yellow when you are sick, or have recently been sick, this is because of the iron produced by bacteria fighting neutrophils in your body, that work to kill off any germs that may be causing your sickness.
