Dark chocolate can offer terrific health effects– cacao, the foundation of dark chocolate, can lower blood pressure and the chance of heart disease. Studies have even shown that it can even boost your memory and improve your skin’s appearance. However, these beneficial effects are available only when dark chocolate is eaten in moderation, and even then the extra calories should be balanced out by cutting out fatty foods from other parts of your diet. Another thing to note is that these health benefits are only linked with dark chocolate– not milk or white chocolate!
