There could be a plethora of reasons why your computer could be running slow. One reason could be that it has been used for a couple of months and it just starts to run slow. One way to combat this is to Defrag your hard drive through System Tools. Another reason why it might be running slow is because you have too many programs running at the same time. To check this out, right click on the Task Bar at the bottom of the screen, click on Task Manager, and look at how many programs you have running. If you have a lot running, you may not need them. In order to stop them from starting when the computer starts, type in MSCONFIG in the search bar, click on the Startup tab, and uncheck all of the programs that you do not need to run when Windows starts. For example, if you have Office starting when the computer starts up, you can uncheck that because there is no reason for it to be running as soon as you start the computer.
