Why Did South Lose the Civil War?

The American Civl War was an extremely long war that nearly drained all of both region’s resources. This being stated, the South lost the Civil War because they ran out of resources. They also had poor planning and not enough soldiers to fight for their cause. Essentially, the South really only had cotton and tobacco farms and were not nearly as industrialized as the north was at the time of the war. This lack of industrialization on the South’s part greatly hindered their chances of winning this catalyst war.
