Who Wrote the Communist Manifesto?

The Communist Manifesto was accredited to communist theorists, Karl Marx and Frederich Engels. It was commissioned by the Communist League and first published in February, 1848 but went through numerous different editions for publication in various countries. Engels has noted in the preface of the opening page of the 1883 German edition that the Manifesto is essentially Karl Marx’s ‘brainchild’ and the basic thought processes written in it should be attributed to him.
