Who was the President in 1990?

The president in 1990 was George Herbert Walker Bush. Bush was a one term president (from 1988 to 1992) who presided during a recession and Desert Storm-the US’s first foray into Iraq. He failed to deliver on his famous campaign promise of ‘No new taxes!’ and, thus, lost his re-election bid to Bill Clinton. No worries though. Eight years later, his son and namesake was elected president.
