Who was Ramses II?

Ramses II was one of the longest reigning pharaohs. The son of Queen Tuy and Seti I he reigned for 67 years and took the throne at age 20 after the death of his father. He restored Egypt’s power by killing rebellious activity in Syria and is also know for the Battle of Kadesh. Although he had a large harem of wives he is known for his special wife Nefertari and had over 100 children.
