Who was Mercy Otis Warren?

Mercy Otis Warren was a writer, a playwright, a poet, and a Patriot. Born in 1728, in Barnstable, MA, she married in 1754 and moved to Plymouth, MA. She used her writing ability to voice her political opinion with three plays during the American Revolution. After the war, she wrote a three volume ‘History of the American Revolution’. She also wrote a book of poetry, in her earlier career.
