Who Makes Gatorade?

Gatorade has been manufactured by the Pepsi Company since 2001. Gatorade got it’s name from the University of Florida’s football team, the Gators. The sports drink was first created in 1965 by researchers at the University of Florida to help rehydrate the football players when they played in the heat of the Florida swamplands. The drink then gained popularity after the Gators attributed Gatorade to helping them win their first Orange Bowl in 1967.
