Where does the Word Hurricane Come from?

The origin of the word hurricane is not definite. There are two thoughts, one is that it comes from a Spanish word which is ‘huracn’. However, the definition of this word in the Spanish English Dictionary is actually hurricane. So that poses a chicken or the egg theory.
