Where does the Term Boolean Originate?

The word boolean originated in the mid 18th century by an English mathematician named George Boole. In 1947 George Boole published a book called ‘The Mathematical Analysis of Logic’. Following Boole’s book gave the term ‘boolean’, which formed the base of boolean logic or algebra. This can be defined as a complete system for logical operations; using words such as ‘and’, ‘or’ and ‘not’. You can find more information here:
