When was Asbestos Banned?

Due to health problems that became increasingly prevalent among those who had been exposed to asbestos, the EPA in the United States lobbied for a ban in 1989. Subsequently, the ban was overturned in 1991, but this left a lot of products under the banned category. Things like flooring materials and paper are not allowed to have asbestos in them. Additionally, ‘new uses’ of asbestos are outlawed. All this means is that products that haven’t been manufactured with asbestos in them before cannot be manufactured with asbestos in them now.
