When to Use Affect and Effect?

I would use ‘affect’ as a verb in a sentence. You can affect something but you cannot grammatically ‘effect’ it. This is true because ‘effect’ is the noun form of the action of affecting. Use Affect to describe the action of creating an effect. Use Effect to describe the result of affecting an object.’That move affected me a lot.’ ‘Really?
