When is Corn Ready to Pick?

Corn is a summer crop, which is when it should be picked. Keep an eye on the corn silk. When it starts to dry, peel back the husk on an ear of corn and squeeze one of the kernels. If a milky fluid comes out, it’s time to pick. If it’s watery, it’s too soon. A thick, toothpaste-like consistency means it’s too late. For more information, look here:
