When do You Use I E Vs E G?

Using i.e. is like saying ‘in others words.’ For example, ‘I am going to the place I work best, i.e. the library.’ The person is claiming that there is only one place he works best and he specifies, saying the library. E.g. is like saying ‘for example.’ An example of the use of e.g.: ‘Some of Joe Jackson’s kids, e.g. Janet and Michael, despised him.’
