What Year was the Titanic Built?

Construction for the RMS Titanic began in 1909. The ship was to be one of three ships of unparalleled grandeur. Titanic was built in Belfast, Ireland and began her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, bound for New York on April 10, 1912. Of the 2,233 people on board, only 1,517 survived after the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic.
