What was George Washington Education?

George Washington, the first president of the United States, had very little formal education. His older brothers had been sent to England for formal schooling, but due to George’s father’s death, George was not. It appears that he probably went to a school close to his home. His older brother tutored him in surveying. Washington was a lifelong learner and left money for the establishment of the university in Alexandria, Virginia that bears his name.
