What States can I Ship Wine to?

It is never legal for consumers to ship wine around the country. In fact, the United States Postal Service will not accept any alcohol shipment. However, UPS and FedEx will ship wines from wineries to individuals in certain states. To accept the shipment of wine, an adult over the age of 21 must sign for package. To be eligible to ship wine, you must sign the ‘wine shippers agreement,’ but this is only available to licensed alcohol retailers (including wineries). Some states have reciprocity laws in pllace where ‘a winery in your state can ship to a consumer in my state, only if a winery in my state can ship to a consumer in your state.’ The two states that have this law in place are New Mexico and Iowa. The states that have completely outlawed wine shipments are: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana (with some exceptions), New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Utah. All other states allowed limited shipments from licensed alcohol retailers. For more information see here:
