What State has the Highest Sales Tax?

At 8.25% California tops the list for highest sales tax in the country. Next up are Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Tennessee, all of which have a sales of 7%. Nevada’s at 6.85%, Washington 6.5% and Illinois at 6.25%.
