What is Yellow Jaundice?

Yellow jaundice usually happens to a baby in it’s first few day of life. A baby’s skin appears yellow when you pinch it. The cause is when a chemical called bilirubin builds up in a babies blood and the liver is not breaking it up and disposing of it in a babies stool. Most cases of jaundice is mild, but if not treated it can become serious. The best option to correct this problem is to let your baby lay under a special blue light.
