What is Von Willebrand Disease?

Von Willebrand Disease is a disorder that occurs in both men and women, and is a result of Von Willebrand factor, which is what helps the blood to clot after an injury. The symptoms are continual bleeding (internal and external) when injured or giving birth. Luckily, there are medications to help reduce bleeding, increase clotting, and to increase the levels of Von Willebrand factor in the body. For more information see here:
