What is the State Insect?

Most states don’t have a state insect, I know Florida doesn’t, but if we did, it would either be the mosquito, the no-see-um, which is a tiny gnat, that you can’t see while it bites the heck out of you, or the palmetto bug, which is a giant flying cockroach (although they say it isn’t really a cockroach, it sure looks like one)…none of which would put a very positive spin on tourism. I guess that’s why we don’t have a state insect.
