What is Pressure?

Although pressure is a scientific term, it’s often used to describe an emotional stress in people. Even though one is scientific and the other is emotional, they are both similar in description. Pressure is the force per unit area applied, in a direction perpendicular to the surface of an object. So while stress in science is the force directly perpendicular to it, it’s easy to believe that the pressure people feel has a force directly perpendicular to it as well.
