What is Functional Notation?

Function notation is used to evaluate a number. A function notation is represented by the letter ‘f’. An example of a function notation is f(b)=b+2 and the function notation is b(4) The ‘f’ is the input and the output is f(b) or b+2. The variable could be any letter, in this example the variable is ‘b’. To solve, f(4)=4+2 =6
