What is Computer Input?

A computer input can be external devices that connects to the input ports on an computer. An example would be the keyboard, mouse, and speakers. The input can also be data such as typing on the keyboard. There are programs which instruct the computer on how to handle the task. There are also commands which are words to tell the computer what to do. The command buttons on a keyboard are the keys located at the top of the keyboard (F1 – F12). Each of these command keys directs the computer to do something. F1 is help, F2 renames a folder and so on.
