What is Chakra?

A chakra is typically definied as one out of seven spiritual centers of energy within the human body. This is typically according to yoga and new age philosophy. In many Eastern religions, the Chakras are central focus points within the body in which various psychic forces can act with one another. The seven major chakras are associated with colors, shapes, and organs. In many Eastern religions and philosophies, the heart chakra is considered the most important of the seven.
