What is Botox?

Botox is a compound used to eradicate and prevent wrinkles, what many people would like to be free from. Botox works by using the same chemicals used to preserve corpses. These chemicals are injected into the skin, in effect freezing the muscles. For example, the muscles and skin around an eye are frozen in place. The person’s skin can no longer move naturally, meaning that the lines which form naturally when the person smiles are no longer being formed. The subsequent wrinkles are likewise never formed. The effects of Botox last approximately six months, after which the procedure can be repeated.
