What is Bcc in Email?

BCC in an e-mail system stands for ‘blind carbon copy.’ It is best to explain the use of the bcc function with an example. Let’s say you are sending an e-mail to X and Y but you do not want X to know that Y is also a recipient of the e-mail. In this case, you put X in the ‘To’ category and Y in the ‘Bcc’ category. X will not see that Y has also received the e-mail, and that’s how the ‘blind carbon copy’ function works in the virtual mail system.
