What is An Internship?

An internship is what a graduating student must complete in order to earn a diploma, and typically involves work in a position within his or her career field. For example, a business major might intern at a Wall Street firm. An education major ‘interns’ as a student teacher. Internships are typically unpaid positions. However, law firms have been known to pay law student interns up to $40 per hour for legal work.
