What is a Persimmon?

A Persimmon is a fruit grown in Brazil, Japan and Korea for the most part. There are two kinds of Persimmons, the Hachiya and the Fuyu. A ripe Hachiya will be deep orange, and a ripe Fuyu will be a yellowish-orange color. The Fuyu Persimmon is sweet and is eaten like an apple or pear. You can find more information here:
