What is a Normal Hcg Level?

In a non-pregnant woman, normal hcg levels are 5 miu/il or below. To be considered pregnant, a level of 25 miu/il is normal. In early pregnancy the forming placenta and embryo release hcg into the bloodstream. During the course of the first 8 weeks or so, hcg levels tend to double every two days.
