What is a Footer?

From the old school, a footer is some combination of text that is printed at the bottom of each page (as opposed to the header which is at the top of each page. An example of a footer is ‘Page 2 of 10′. A footer could also be someone who is on foot (walking), although I don’t think you will hear it used very often.
