What is a Duck?

There’s an old saying ‘if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s probably a duck’. Ducks are found in nearly every area of the world. They are also found in human form in the hockey rink, and often on a dinner plate in Asia. A duck is part of the family of birds. They are their own species within this family and there are many species of duck, but in America the most widely recognized is the mallard.
