What Freezes First Hot Or Cold Water?

It has become somewhat of an urban legend that hot water freezes faster than cold water. This is absolutely FALSE. Water has to be at a temperature of 32 degrees fahrenheit in order for it to freeze. If you take hot water (let’s say 100 degrees fahrenheit) and place it in a freezer, it will have to cool first and then dip to freezing.
