What Did the Proclamation of 1763 Say?

The proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George III and it closed lands North and West of the Appalachian mountains to settlement. The French and Indian war spurred on many conflicts between the Native Peoples and the Colonists. The proclamations purpose was to reduce the conflicts. It was an attempt to stop the encroachment on Indian lands.
