The Chinese diet isn’t likely to have altered much. They are highly dependent on sea food and the types of food that grow readily in their climate. Rice is a staple, as it grows well and in relatively small areas. Tofu, a food made of soybeans has been around in Chinese diets long before it became popular in American food. One interesting fact is that the Chinese have used a type of stir frying or fast frying technique since ancient times. China has no natural forest, and wood for cooking was sparse.
