The sixties were a very colorful and casual time and the clothes reflected that. It was a time of free love, things were groovy and rock music (The Doors, The Moma’s and the Papa’s, Jefferson Airplane). The people wore bell bottom pants and they could be plain or quite loud in their color and design. Tie die shirts were popular as were hot pants. Hair was long on both women and men. You would see many people making the peace sign or wearing them on clothing or jewelry. Guys sometimes wore vests with their shirts and slacks.
