An infection of the skin itself is the most common cause of skin lesions. The infection of the skin could be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Athletes foor or tinea pedis, acne, warts, and scabies are a few examples of skin infections that could cause skin lesions. An allergic reaction could also cause skin lesions.
