What are the Units of Energy?

There are many units of energy according to the type of energy measured. In common, the unit of energy in SI unit system is joule (J) which equals one Newton meter and another is foot-pound (ft-lbs) which is in English units. The Heat energy is measured in Calorie (Cal) or British Thermal unit (BTU). The Electrical and atomic energy is measured in Electron Volt (eV) or Kilowatt-hour (kWh).
