What are the Main Beliefs of Islam?

The main beliefs of Islam are described in the six articles of faith. Islam preaches that there is only one creator of the universe, Allah. Another belief is that angels with different purposes are comprised of light. The third article refers to believing in the four books of scripture: Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and Quran. All Muslims believe in all of the prophets, from Adam to Mohammad. The fifth article focuses on the Day of Judgment, when, after the end of the world, every person will be resurrected and held accountable for their lives. Finally, a belief in the divine creed is an important aspect of Islam. The divine creed specifies that, although living beings have free choice, Allah already knows the choices that will be made, and thus everything that happens is predestined.
