A mini-stroke is known as a transient ischemic attack which temporarily interrupts or stops the flow of blood to a particular part of the brain. Symptoms of a mini-stroke are similar to that of a stroke, however they typically resolve within a few minutes or hours. Mini-strokes do not cause permanent damage to the brain, but they can reoccur.
