What are All the Holidays?

Naming all the holidays is a tall order…it seems that we are observing less holidays than in the past. The primary holidays are still: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (4th of July), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. With the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas, most retail stores and restaurants remain open. Other holidays include President’s Day, Patriots Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day. There are also holidays that are specific to a religious group or culture, e.g. Easter (Christians) and Yom Kippur (Jews). To find more information click here:
