Electronic commerce runs the gambit, from stock trading, the buying of items, the selling of items, clear up to the buying or selling of services or data. Currently large sites such as Ebay and Amazon dominate the market of electronic commerce, but smaller organizations like Second Life are growing at a shocking rate. Second Life boasts it’s own marketplace, and even appeals to several large corporations, such as IBM. Second Life also has it’s own stock market, which is a first for a digital domain of that type. With how many E Commerce sites and services are popping up everywhere, it’s safe to say we will see more and more of them over the years.
