The way a person manipulates another to do what they desire is called a control mechanism. There are four types. An intimidator is a person who manipulates someone by using commands or fear. An interregator is a person who uses overheard information and blackmail to get what he/she wants. A person who uses the aloof control mechanism controls people by waiting for them to do something wrong and then offering a solution. The fourth type of control mechanism is the victim, someone who makes people feel sorry for them thus manipulating that person.
