How was Soccer Invented?

History shows some form of soccer has been played in numerous countries, so it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact invention of the game. I’m sure you won’t be surprised that the concensus believe it started in China, they certainly get the credit for a majority of the worlds inventions! Around the 2nd Century, military training documents were found showing they played a game where a leather ball, filled with hair and feathers, was passed and kicked around a field into a net. Let’s not leave out the Greeks and Romans! They also played a version of the game with 27 players on each side battling to the point that 65% of them ended up hurt so badly they had to be hospitalized. The more tradional game as we know it today was started in England in the 8th century, where they got their ‘kicks’ out of using the head of a defeated Danish prince as a ball.
