Envelopes should be written in ink and the handwriting legible and readable. Your address should be in the upper left hand corner in case the envelope needs to be returned. The stamp goes in the upper right hand corner. In the center first line is the name of person/company the envelope goes to, second line is their address, third line is city, state and zip code. If it’s a company you are addressing, the name of the person you want to receive the mail is on the fourth line as the attention to portion.
