How to Write a Code of Conduct?

A code of conduct should support the values of the company and should be written that way. Since it is basically a set of rules and tells employees what the proper practices are of your company it needs reflect those things. For example: think about items such as gifts from a vendor or customer. What is acceptable for you employees to take before it could be interpreted as an attempt to influence their decisions. What is considered professionalism in your organization and what behaviors display it.
