You must wash a cat carefully! Most cats do not like baths and will try to claw you to escape. It is a good idea to get your kitten used to bathing so that it will not mind so much when it is grown. The first thing you need to do when bathing a cat is to assemble your shampoo, towels and any other supplies. Put a towel or other nonslip item into the sink so the cat will feel more secure. Test the water to make sure it is not too warm or too cold. Then put your cat into the sink and shampoo. Make sure you rinse all of the soap out very well. Be careful not to get water in your cat’s ears. After your cat’s bath, towel dry. Your cat will then most likely look at you distainfully and slink off to recoup his or her dignity.
