How to Tone Down Spicy Food?

There is really no easy way to tone down spicy food unless the food is a soup or beans, if so you can add water and that will help even out the spice. If it is something like meat you can attempt to cover the spice by eating it with bread but you may still run the risk of heart burn if you have that kind of problem. Your best bet would be to not eat it or ask the cook to make something on the side not so spicy for you.
